Kanye Udoh News, Rumors, Updates - Liberty Flames

Out of the picture Udoh, who did not have a touch in Liberty's opener, had one carry for three yards Saturday against Gardner-Webb.

Impact It certainly seems like Udoh, who once ran for over 1,000 yards at Army, is not actually in the rotation for Liberty. While it was reasonable to expect he'd be part of this offense, that does not appear to be the case.

SEPTEMBER 12 • ROTOWIRE

No touches in season opener Udoh did not touch the ball in Liberty's season opener against JMU on Saturday.

Impact Udoh made his name at Army, but didn't play a ton at Arizona State last season. Still, he moved to Liberty, and he was expected to be atop the depth chart. He was not listed with an injury prior to this game, so there will certainly be questions about his status following this one.

SEPTEMBER 5 • ROTOWIRE

Signs with Liberty Udoh has transferred to Liberty, according to Pete Nakos of On3.com.

Impact Udoh spent the 2025 season with Arizona State after two impressive years with Army, but he was limited to just 56 carries for 240 yards and two touchdowns. He'll hope to have a bigger role with Liberty in what will be his final year of college eligibility.

JANUARY 21 • ROTOWIRE

Seeking greener pastures Udoh (undisclosed) will enter the transfer portal, per On3.com.

Impact Udoh joined the Sun Devils' program for the 2025 season after two stellar years at Army - particularly the 2024 campaign in which he ran for 1,117 yards and 10 touchdowns on 6.2 yards per carry. He was just Arizona State's fourth-leading rusher this fall, however, with 56 carries for 240 yards and two scores. Now, with one season of eligibility remaining, he'll look for a new home once again, preferably one where he can play a sizable role in the backfield.

Won't play in Sun Bowl Udoh (undisclosed) will miss Wednesday's Sun Bowl versus Duke, Michelle Gardner of The Arizona Republic reports.

Impact Udoh reportedly didn't take part in practice on Friday, and he'll miss the postseason contest along with Raleek Brown (NFL Draft prep) and Kyson Brown (foot), leaving the Sun Devils extremely thin in the backfield. Look for Jason Brown and Demarius Robinson to handle more carries Wednesday as a result.

DECEMBER 31, 2025 • ROTOWIRE

Does not practice Sunday Udoh (undisclosed) did not practice Sunday, Michelle Gardner of The Arizona Republic reports.

Impact Udoh not practicing on the last weekend before Arizona State's bowl game may be some cause for concern. The running back has 56 rushing attempts for 240 yards and two touchdowns in 2025. With both Raleek Brown (pro draft prep) and Kyson Brown (foot) doubtful for the bowl, that leaves Udoh the Sun Devils' top rusher, and his absence would mean they look further down their running back depth chart and use far less proven options like Jason Brown, Demarius Robinson and Grayson Rigdon.

DECEMBER 29, 2025 • ROTOWIRE

Scores in Saturday's win Udoh compiled nine carries for 62 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 42-17 victory versus Colorado.

Impact After being nearly completely ousted from the Sun Devils' backfield, Udoh got some opportunities during Saturday's blowout win. He rushed for 62 yards, his second most this season, and scored his second touchdown of the season in the win. Unless the Sun Devils are able to blow out their rivals on Friday, Udoh will likely not be involved much in the regular season finale versus Arizona.

NOVEMBER 23, 2025 • ROTOWIRE

No longer on injury report Udoh (illness) is no longer on the injury report and should be available to face Texas Tech on Saturday.

Impact Udoh popped up in the injury report Wednesday, but he seems to have recovered from an illness and has been upgraded to available. Udoh has 43 carries for 169 yards and a touchdown in six games this season.

OCTOBER 17, 2025 • ROTOWIRE

Probable for Saturday Udoh (illness) is probable for Saturday's game versus Texas Tech, per the Big 12 availability report.

Impact Udoh, who missed Wednesday's practice due to an illness, is officially considered probable for Saturday's contest. It's good news for him, but his status is still worth monitoring in case he takes longer than expected to recover from his illness.

OCTOBER 15, 2025 • ROTOWIRE

Sits out Wednesday practice Udoh didn't practice Wednesday due to an illness, per Chris Karpman of 247Sports.com.

Impact Udoh has yet to miss a game this season, but his involvement in the Sun Devils' backfield has fluctuated significantly. He's had as many as 23 carries and as few as two while posting 169 yards and a score on 43 carries over six games. Hopefully for the tailback, he'll get over his illness in time to face Texas Tech on Saturday.

Heavy workload Saturday Udoh accrued 23 carries for 105 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 24-20 loss versus Mississippi State.

Impact After Kyson Brown (ankle) went down early into Saturday's contest with an injury, Udoh split the backfield with Raleek Brown for the rest of the game. Udoh -- who was barely utilized in Week 1 -- received 23 carries and gained over 100 yards, receiving five more carries than Raleek Brown but gaining five fewer yards. Raleek Brown also caught three passes while Udoh had none. With Kyson Brown already considered doubtful for Week 3, Udoh is a very solid option versus Texas State even though he will likely be splitting carries with Raleek Brown.

Sharing first-team reps Udoh is sharing first-team reps with Raleek Brown and Kyson Brown, per On3.com.

Impact Udoh, who transferred over from Army this offseason, appears to be in an excellent spot to see plenty of carries this fall. The issue for fantasy purposes? So do Raleek and Kyson Brown, each of whom is also getting first-team reps in practice. A backfield by committee is all fine and dandy, but there's only one ball to go around, and someone will have to take the lead in this Sun Devils backfield. Still, after amassing 1,117 yards and 10 scores at West Point last season, it would be surprising to see Udoh in a limited role despite Arizona State's deep backfield.

Challenging starting role Udoh is in the fight for the starting running back role at Arizona State, Michelle Gardner of The Arizona Republic reports.

Impact Udoh came into Arizona State from Army this offseason, and he's already duking it out for the starting RB role with the Sun Devils. Although rusher Kyson Brown is currently the frontrunner after backing up Cam Skattebo last season, Udoh still has a shot ahead of the 2025 campaign. August should be the true decider for who gets main rushing responsibilities, but the spot is still up for grabs as of now.

Erupts vs. Tulane Udoh notched 20 carries for 158 yards and one touchdown during Friday's 35-14 win over Tulane.

Impact Udoh saved his best performance of the season for the AAC title game, amassing a season-high 158 yards rushing. It was just the second time this season that the tailback eclipsed the 20-carry mark, but Army figures to rely on the dynamic tailback moving forward in the Army-Navy game set for Saturday, Dec. 14.

Shut down again Saturday Udoh tallied seven rushes for 15 yards during Saturday's 29-24 victory versus Texas-San Antonio.

Impact Udoh had his worst performance of the season Saturday as he gained a season-low 15 yards on just seven carries. He has just 50 yards across the last two weeks and his place as the team's top back appears to be in question. He will look to bounce back Friday versus Tulane in the AAC Championship Game.

Shut down versus Notre Dame Udoh notched 10 rushes for 35 yards during Saturday's 49-14 loss versus Notre Dame.

Impact Udoh struggled to get anything going Saturday as he gained just 35 yards, his second-fewest this season. With Bryson Daily logging 39 rushes, Udoh only had 10 touches, his fewest since Week 6. He faces a more favorable matchup Saturday versus UTSA.
