Impact Roberts will miss Thursday's game with an undisclosed injury, his second missed game of the season. The redshirt sophomore running back left last week's game against Old Dominion with an injury and apparently has been unable to shake it in time for Thursday's matchup. Roberts will hope to use next week's bye to recover in time for the Mountaineers' next matchup against James Madison the following Saturday.

Impact With workhorse back Nate Noel entering the transfer portal this offseason, there was a possibility that Roberts would enter a lead role for the Mountaineers in 2024. However, the team utilized a committee approach, with Anderson Castle seeing nine carries, Maquel Haywood rushing four times and Ahmani Marshall receiving three carries.
