He saw seven targets in his third straight game and set career highs in receiving yards (153) rushing yards (19) and punt return yards (139). Although these types of performances will not be the norm for Shanks, it's clear that his future is very bright.

While Amare Thomas was expected to be the clear No. 1 option for Jacob Zeno, Shanks' excellent start to the season has thrown some doubt into that notion. Saturday's more difficult outing at Louisiana-Monroe will shine some light on whether this was a one-off performance or if Shanks has truly carved out a sizable portion of the Blazers' passing game.
