Back at Arkansas' practice Shanks (hamstring) is back at Arkansas' practice Monday, the Southwest Times Record reports.

Impact Shanks being back at Arkansas' practice means his previously injured hamstring is no longer a problem. The wide receiver transferred Arkansas-based schools this summer, going from UAB to Arkansas, a significant jump in FBS competition. Shanks will look to match his 2024 season of 62 receptions for 656 yards and six touchdowns.

Signs with Arkansas Shanks has signed with Arkansas, Pete Nakos of On3 reports.

Impact By signing with Arkansas, Shanks will be part of a Power Conference team for his 2025 season. The 2024 Razorbacks' receiver corps features a top three of seniors who will either not have collegiate eligibility next year (Andrew Armstrong and Isaac TeSlaa) or enter the transfer portal (Isaiah Sategna). Like he was for UAB's 2024 team, Shanks has at least a decent opportunity to be one of the 2025 Razorbacks' primary wideouts.

Leaving UAB Shanks has entered the NCAA transfer portal, Mike Farrell of MikeFarrellSports.com reports.

Impact Shanks will depart from UAB after a standout season with the Blazers. The 5-foot-8 redshirt sophomore tallied 62 receptions for 656 yards and six touchdowns, along with eight carries for 50 yards, in his first action at the collegiate level.

Scores in season finale Shanks reeled in 4 of 7 targets for 24 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 29-27 loss versus Charlotte.

Impact Shanks caught a 12-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter Saturday, a play which accounted for most of his production on the day. The redshirt freshman had a highly productive season as he caught 62 passes (on 89 targets) for 656 yards and six touchdowns. He is set to be a massive part of the Blazers' offense again next season.

Solid production Saturday Shanks reeled in 7 of 9 targets for 51 yards during Saturday's 40-14 win versus Rice.

Impact Shanks had another productive outing Saturday as he once again enjoyed a high volume of targets. He was targeted nine times in the game, his fourth time in his last six games with nine or more targets. He caught seven passes, his second-most this season, and added a solid 51 yards. He will look to cap off an excellent second half of the season Saturday at Charlotte in the season finale.

Scores in Saturday's loss Shanks caught all five targets for 45 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 53-18 loss versus Memphis.

Impact Shanks had a solid day Saturday as he found the end zone in the second quarter on a 10-yard reception. It marked his sixth touchdown of the season, five of which have come in the last three games. Shanks has been very involved in the offense since Jalen Kitna took over, and there are no signs of that changing during the last two games of the season.

NOVEMBER 17, 2024 • ROTOWIRE

80 yards in loss Shanks caught 5 of 11 targets for 50 yards during Saturday's 31-23 defeat against Connecticut.

Impact Shanks broke out last week versus Tulsa as he scored four touchdowns in the blowout win. Although he did not come even close to that production versus UConn, he proved to still be very involved in the offense. He had 11 targets for the third time in his last four games and received two carries once again, this time taking those for a season-high 30 yards. Shanks' high volume combined with his explosive ceiling makes him a valuable option down the stretch.

NOVEMBER 10, 2024 • ROTOWIRE

Scores four TDs versus Tulsa Shanks hauled in 5 of 7 targets for 153 yards and three touchdowns during Saturday's 59-21 win against Tulsa. He also scored a 58-yard punt return touchdown.

Impact Shanks was simply fantastic in Saturday's dominant win over Tulsa. On the opening play of the second quarter he scored a 67-yard touchdown, then later in the quarter returned a punt for a touchdown -- his second of the season -- to give the Blazers a dominant 38-0 lead. He wasn't done, as he scored touchdowns of 34 yards and 48 yards in the third quarter, capping off a career day. He saw seven targets in his third straight game and set career highs in receiving yards (153) rushing yards (19) and punt return yards (139). Although these types of performances will not be the norm for Shanks, it's clear that his future is very bright.

NOVEMBER 4, 2024 • ROTOWIRE

11 targets Saturday Shanks caught 6 of 11 targets for 36 yards during Saturday's 35-25 defeat against South Florida.

Impact Although Shanks did not quite follow up his elite performance last Saturday, he maintained the high volume. He was targeted 11 times versus South Florida, giving him 23 in the last two games with Jalen Kitna. He caught six of those passes for a measly 36 yards, but the volume he has received in the last two games is enticing. If Kitna starts again after the bye week, Shanks could be a beneficiary once again.

OCTOBER 21, 2024 • ROTOWIRE

Excellent in Saturday's loss Shanks totaled nine receptions (on 12 targets) for 119 yards during Saturday's 44-10 defeat versus Army.

Impact Shanks broke out with season highs across the board Saturday. He led the team in receptions (nine), targets (12) and yards (119) in the blowout loss as he clearly found a connection with Jalen Kitna in Kitna's second start. If Kitna starts again on Saturday at USF, Shanks could be a beneficiary.

OCTOBER 14, 2024 • ROTOWIRE

Scores in Saturday's loss Shanks reeled in all five targets for 31 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 37-27 loss against Arkansas.

Impact Shanks caught his first career collegiate touchdown pass Saturday, a 15-yard reception in the first quarter. He was targeted five times for the third straight week and now has 15 catches across three games this season. He has established a solid role for himself early into the season and the redshirt freshman will look to build on that heading into conference play.

SEPTEMBER 16, 2024 • ROTOWIRE

Leads receivers in opener Shanks reeled in six of nine targets for 73 yards and scored a punt-return touchdown during Thursday's 41-3 win against Alcorn State.

Impact Shanks led the team in catches, targets and receiving yards Thursday, an excellent way to start off his first full season with the program. He also showcased his playmaking abilities with a 57-yard punt-return touchdown in the fourth quarter. He appeared in four games last season as a true freshman but did not record any stats on offense and was ultimately redshirted. While Amare Thomas was expected to be the clear No. 1 option for Jacob Zeno, Shanks' excellent start to the season has thrown some doubt into that notion. Saturday's more difficult outing at Louisiana-Monroe will shine some light on whether this was a one-off performance or if Shanks has truly carved out a sizable portion of the Blazers' passing game.
