Out for Liberty Bowl Kelly is out for the 2024 Liberty Bowl to prepare for the 2025 NFL Draft, Don Williams of the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal reports.

Impact Kelly had one last chance to log a college game before his collegiate eligibility was completely maximized. Instead, he will opt out early to prepare for the 2025 NFL Draft. Kelly was a proven commodity for three different colleges: Fresno State, Washington State and Texas Tech. As a Power Conference player for the latter two, he recorded a combined 150 receptions for 1,946 yards and 13 touchdowns. Perhaps all that output will be enough to get Kelly drafted by an NFL team.

Impact Kelly posted his fifth 100-yard receiving game of the season and surpassed 1,000 yards receiving for the first time in his career. Kelly has been Texas Tech's best receiver and is targeted often with double-digit opportunities in eight different games. One of the primary reasons he has just five touchdowns is because Tahj Brooks and the running game have been so effective. Stay tuned to see if Kelly makes an appearance in the team's bowl game or whether he opts out to prepare for the NFL Draft.

Impact Kelly managed just four catches despite Texas Tech recording 37 total grabs for 404 yards and four touchdowns via the air. Most of that production went to Caleb Douglas and Coy Eakin as QB Behren Morton did a good job of spreading the ball around. Kelly does have double-digit targets in seven games this year, so he can certainly be relied upon for fantasy duties against West Virginia next week.

Impact Kelly has recorded back-to-back 100-yard receiving games for the first time this season. He's been a target machine with double-digit opportunities in 7-of-10 games this year. He's having a career year with 76 grabs for 842 yards and five touchdowns on 111 targets. Texas Tech is on a bye before playing at Oklahoma State in Week 13.

Impact Kelly had a monster performance with a season-high 18 targets. He has double-digit targets in six of nine games this year and clearly the number one target in the Texas Tech offense. While his yards per target shades towards the lower side, he sees enough volume to make it worth it for most fantasy rosters. He should be in line for another strong performance against Colorado next week.

Low YPT in loss at TCU Kelly posted seven receptions (on eight targets) for 19 yards during Saturday's 35-34 defeat versus TCU.

Impact Kelly posted a low 2.7 yards per target (YPT) which is well below his season average at 7.5 yards per game. Behren Morton left the game with a serious injury which forced true freshman Will Hammond into action which could be part of the reason for the significant change in YPT in the losing effort to TCU. It's also worth noting that teammate Caleb Douglas has received double digit targets in each of the last three games and has emerged at the team's top receiver over the last month of the season. Texas Tech will play at Iowa State next week.

Team-high 12 targets in loss Kelly posted nine receptions (on 12 targets) for 76 yards during Saturday's 59-35 defeat versus Baylor.

Impact Kelly led the team with 12 targets, but it was teammate Caleb Douglas who had a big fantasy performance with nine catches (on 10 targets) for 99 yards and three touchdowns. Kelly is averaging 10.4 targets per game which suggests he should have more than the three touchdowns he has right now. Look for Kelly to receive plenty of looks and start to see more scores if the opportunities continue. Texas Tech will play at TCU next week.

Eight targets in win at Arizona Kelly accrued five catches (on eight targets) for 27 yards during Saturday's 28-22 win against Arizona.

Impact Kelly has at least eight targets in five of six games this season. The surprising aspect of the 2024 Texas Tech Red Raiders is their reliance on the run-game. Tahj Brooks has been awesome with 679 yards and seven touchdowns on 124 carries. When opposing defenses start focusing on Brooks, it should open the field up even more for Kelly. Texas Tech is off next week before playing Baylor in Week 8.

He's well on pace to have his first 1,000 yard receiving season and will push triple digit targets for the first time as well. Kelly is a must start for fantasy against Arizona next week.
