Dives for TD in narrow win Davison logged 12 carries for 90 yards and one touchdown and reeled in his only target for zero yards during Saturday's 34-27 win against Boise State.
Impact Although a collarbone injury recently put his status in question, Davison played without restriction and led Oregon rushers in the Week 1 victory. He should continue to hold a snap advantage over Dierre Hill, who will likely see more snaps than Davison on third down.

Oregon RB Jordon Davison Reportedly Has Collarbone Injury, Could Miss Opener
Practices fully Wednesday Davison (collarbone) practiced fully and even engaged in tackling drills, Justin Hopkins of On3 reports.
Impact Davison was reported to have suffered a broken collarbone earlier today, but after a series of conflicting reports popped up, the star tailback was able to log a full practice Wednesday. Further involvement will be needed to determine whether he'll be ready for Week 1 against Boise State on Sep. 5, but this is an encouraging sign. Davison should be Oregon's RB1 if healthy, but if he has to miss time, Dierre Hill would be next in line for a bigger role to open the season.

Conflicting reports surrounding health status Davison's health status remains unclear, with a new report from Justin Hopkins of On3.com indicating he should practice Wednesday.
Impact A previous report from Zachary Neel of USA Today suggested Davison had suffered a broken collarbone and would be sidelined for the next 6-8 weeks, but a new report indicates that may not be the case. For the time being, it may be best to wait until additional confirmation arrives regarding the status of the star running back. Should Davison ultimately miss time, Dierre Hill would be next in line for additional run to open the season.

Set to miss time with injury Davison aggravated the collarbone injury that cost him the final game of the 2025 season and will miss between six to eight weeks, according to Zachary Neel of DucksWire.
Impact Davison was expected to be the Ducks' RB1 heading into the season, but now Oregon will have to lean on its depth to cover for the loss of the star tailback, who notched 667 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns on 113 carries while also catching 12 passes for 62 receiving yards in 2025. With Davison expected to miss the first few weeks of the new season, Dierre Hill and Da'Jaun Riggs are expected to handle bigger roles in the backfield going forward until Davison is ready to return.

Ready and recovered for camp Davison (arm) is 100 percent healthy for training camp, according to Bri Amaranthus of SI.com.
Impact Davison played through a broken collarbone in Oregon's playoff victory over Texas Tech at the Orange Bowl, and while that injury ended his season abruptly, he's now ready to go at it again and build off an impressive freshman season. Davison notched 667 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns on 113 carries while also catching 12 passes for 62 receiving yards in 2025. He should have a key role in Oregon's backfield in 2026 as well.

Practicing this spring Davison (arm) has been practicing in some capacity this spring, per 247Sports.
Impact Davison missed Oregon's playoff loss to Indiana with an arm injury, but the freshman had a stellar first year in Eugene prior to that ailment. He ran for 667 yards and 15 touchdowns on 113 carries, catching 12 passes for 62 yards as well. Davison is primed to be the Ducks' top tailback this fall, and though he reportedly has yet to make a full recovery, it's a good sign that he's out on the practice field in some capacity.

Spotted with arm in sling Davison was spotted with his right arm in a sling ahead of the Peach Bowl against Indiana, per James Crepea of The Oregonian.
Impact Davison has already been ruled out for the Ducks' clash with Indiana in the Peach Bowl with an upper body injury, but now we have a few more specifics on the tailback's ailment. If Oregon advances to the national title game, Davison will look to return then, although it appears unlikely given how far he is from playing in the Semifinal.

Oregon running back Jordon Davison ruled out for Peach Bowl semifinal with Indiana

Oregon won’t have running back Jordon Davison for its Peach Bowl College Football semifinal matchup with Indiana on Friday
JANUARY 7 • Associated Press
Out for Peach Bowl Davison (upper body) is out for the CFP semifinal against Indiana on Friday, James Crepea of The Oregonian reports.
Impact Davison has a broken clavicle, so it's not surprising to see him listed as out for this matchup against the Hoosiers. This means Noah Whittington will have to carry a huge workload out of the backfield Friday, while Dierre Hill could see an expanded role as well.
JANUARY 6 • ROTOWIRE
Reportedly has broken clavicle Davidson is reportedly dealing with a broken clavicle that's expected to sidelined him for the remainder of the playoffs, per Aaron J Fentress of OregonLive.com.
Impact Davison's alleged clavicle injury has only been reported by OregonLive.com thus far, so there's a chance he's in fact good to go against Indiana in the College Football Playoff Semifinals. Still, this firmly throws the tailback's status into doubt for when the Ducks take on the Hoosiers. The true freshman has been a problem this season, rushing for 667 yards and 15 touchdowns on 5.9 yards per carry. If he's indeed shut down for the rest of the playoffs, expect a huge workload for Noah Whittington, and more carries for fellow true freshman Dierre Hill.
