Jackson was surprisingly elevated to the starting role as Dylan Edwards hurt himself on a muffed punt prior to the team's first offensive possession. Edwards would not reenter the game, and it was Jackson who carried the bulk of the load for the Wildcats. If Edwards is forced to miss any more time, Jackson is worth a stash as he would likely get double-digit touches per week. Kansas State will play North Dakota next week.
