Jeremiah McClellan News, Rumors, Updates - Oregon Ducks

Sports probable tag for Saturday McClellan (foot) is expected to play in Saturday's clash with Ohio State, per the Big Ten availability report.

Impact After missing the previous six weeks with a foot injury, McClellan will most likely return to action on Saturday against the Buckeyes. The wide receiver broke his foot ahead of Week 3's matchup against Portland State and has only appeared in two games this season. In those two games, the Missouri native has seven catches for 170 yards and one touchdown.

Unavailable six-to-eight weeks McClellan (foot) will be out for six-to-eight weeks, Justin Hopkins of On3 reports.

Impact Previously unclarified, McClellan's injury timetable will include a lengthy absence due to the broken foot he suffered while warming up for Friday's game against Portland State. This means that he will not only sit out all of September but also all of October as well, giving him little time to quantitatively improve from his breakout 2025. McClellan had been on pace as well, having finished his first two games with seven receptions (on 12 targets) for 170 yards and one touchdown. It is unknown who would complement Dakorien Moore and Evan Stewart in McClellan's absence, or if Oregon's program ultimately decides to rely more on their top-two wideouts.

Suffers broken foot McClellan suffered a broken foot and is going to be sidelined for the time being, head coach Dan Lanning told Matt Prehm of 247Sports.com.

Impact McClellan suffered the injury during warm-ups ahead of the Week 3 game against Portland State, and he's set to miss time, though there's no clear timetable for his return to the gridiron. This is a huge loss for Oregon, as McClellan was expected to be a key piece of Oregon's passing attack. Through two games, he has seven catches on 12 targets for 170 yards and a touchdown. With McClellan sidelined, expect Iverson Hooks, Messiah Hampton and Gatlin Bair to see more looks in the passing attack.

Spotted in boot McClellan (leg) was seen wearing a boot on the sidelines during Friday's game against Portland State, per Matt Prehm of 247Sports.com.

Impact McClellan was surprisingly seen wearing street clothes and in a boot after warming up during Oregon's pregame. The wideout is presumably dealing with a leg injury and his status remains uncertain for next week's conference opener against USC. This is a big loss for the Ducks' passing attack as the wideout has hauled in 170 yards and one touchdown on seven receptions this season.

Bottled up in loss McClellan posted one reception (on three targets) for 20 yards during Saturday's 39-31 loss against Oklahoma State.

Impact After breaking through with a stellar game last week, McClellnan fell back to earth and wasn't much of a factor in the narrow loss. The Ducks have several offensive weapons to choose from, especially at wide receiver, where Dakorien Moore and Evan Stewart will often act as top targets.

Finds end zone in playoff win McClellan hauled in all six targets for 83 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 51-34 win against James Madison.

Impact McClellan connected with quarterback Dante Moore on a 20-yard scoring strike in the second quarter, giving the Ducks a 27-3 lead at the time. The 6-foot redshirt freshman has seen his role increase down the stretch this season, totaling 15 receptions for 250 yards and two touchdowns over the team's last four contests. A CFP quarterfinal matchup against Texas Tech in the Orange Bowl awaits on January 1.

Returns, finishes with 53 yards McClellan (shoulder) logged three receptions for 53 yards during Saturday's 42-27 victory over USC.

Impact James Crepea of The Oregonian confirmed that McClellan returned after briefly heading to Oregon's locker room because of a shoulder injury. It did not prevent him from logging his most yards since Week 2, when UO thrashed Oklahoma State. McClellan's 2025 season includes 19 receptions (on 30 targets) for 266 yards and two touchdowns.

NOVEMBER 22, 2025 • ROTOWIRE

Heading to locker room Saturday McClellan exited Saturday's game against USC and went straight to the locker room due to a left shoulder injury, Pete Nakos of On3.com reports.

Impact The Ducks are thin at wide receiver in this game, so losing McClellan is far from ideal for Oregon. If he's unable to return to action, then Malik Benson, Cooper Perry and Justius Lowe would be in line to see more targets. They're already missing Dakorien Moore (knee) and Gary Bryant (ankle).
