Javian Mallory News, Rumors, Updates - Miami (FL) Hurricanes

Two scores in blowout vs. Pitt Mallory had seven rushes for 47 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's 52-23 win over Pittsburgh.

Impact Mallory was the Hurricanes' top ball-carrier against Pitt, finding the end zone twice and finishing with more yards than starter Mark Fletcher. Though he remains the clear RB2, Mallory should continue to get plenty of opportunities in this explosive Miami offense.

Tremendous outing in rivalry win Mallory accrued 13 rushes for 108 yards and two touchdowns and gathered in 0 of 2 targets for zero yards during Saturday's 43-35 overtime victory against Florida State.

Impact Mallory surpassed 100 yards for the second time this season, and he scored two touchdowns as well to finish as Miami's leading rusher despite taking fewer carries than starter Mark Fletcher. Though the latter remains the firm RB1 in Coral Gables, Mallory is becoming a consistent part of this offense and has another great chance to produce next week against a reeling Pitt squad.

Modest day in big win Mallory posted 14 carries for 63 yards during Saturday's 41-13 win over Clemson.

Impact Mallory's numbers weren't mind-blowing in a blowout win over Clemson, but the tailback remained productive for the Hurricanes as the second fiddle to starter Mark Fletcher. He should continue to see close to 10 touches per game moving forward.

Finds end zone in blowout win Mallory totaled five carries for 30 yards and one touchdown and gathered in all two targets for 26 yards during Saturday's 52-3 victory against Central Michigan.

Impact Mallory remained an active part of this Miami ground game with Mark Fletcher (upper body) held out of the Hurricanes' easy win over Central Michigan as a precaution. Upon Fletcher's return, Mallory's role will shrink, but he'll still get a handful of touches each week as he's proven to be a capable back.

Leading rusher in huge win Mallory posted 10 rushes for 142 yards and two touchdowns during Thursday's 77-7 victory over Florida A&M.

Impact Mallory was the Hurricanes' top ball-carrier in a completely dominant victory. The freshman didn't get a chance to make much of an impact in Week 1, but his 10 carries led the way for the Hurricanes' backfield and that's all he needed to rack up 142 yards. If Mallory continues to shine, he could begin to push CharMar Brown for carries in a more competitive game.
