Sees significant run Jones accrued nine carries for 54 yards and one touchdown during Thursday's 30-14 victory against Jackson State.

Impact Though Hunter Smith and Bennett Galloway were listed as ULM's starting running backs ahead of Thursday's contest, Ahmad Hardy and James Jones handled most of the carries. Hardy did outcarry Jones 19-9, but it's still a significantly larger role for Jones than initially expected. A reason for Smith and Galloway's inactivity wasn't provided, so it can be assumed that Hardy and Jones will remain the top two backs for the Week 2 matchup with UAB.
