Held out Week 2
Haynes (knee) did not play in Saturday's matchup against Troy.
Impact
Haynes was previously listed as doubtful after experiencing a setback with his hamstring while working through his recovery from knee surgery, so his absence was not exactly surprising. The 5-foot-11 back will be hoping to make his way back onto the field soon, with his next opportunity coming against Georgia Tech on Saturday.

Suffers quad setback
Haynes (knee) suffered a "little setback" with one of his quadriceps, Chapel Fowler of The Columbia State reports.
Impact
In terms of Haynes' injured knee, it is "doing great" after his surgery. But after recently running sprints, he is also dealing with a strained quad. Even though Haynes is progressively working back from injuries, his latest update indicates doubtful availability for Week 2.

Out for Week 1 blockbuster
Haynes (knee) won't play against LSU in Week 1, per Jon Blau of The Charleston Post and Courier.
Impact
Haynes, who is still recovering from the ACL he tore in last season's ACC title game, won't be available to return for the Tigers' massive opener against LSU. The Tigers figure to deploy plenty of tailbacks ahead of Haynes, including Adam Randall and Gideon Davidson, so he didn't figure to get too many carries regardless.

Practicing with limited contact
Haynes (knee) is participating in Clemson's fall camp wearing a limited contact jersey, per Chapel Fowler of The Columbia State.
Impact
Haynes isn't all the way back from the knee ailment he suffered in the ACC title game win over SMU, but he's getting there -- a green non-contact jersey is a good start. The tailback, who isn't expected to start for the Tigers but should factor into the rotation, logged 43 carries for 295 yards and three scores last season.

Restricted start to fall camp
Haynes (knee) will be restricted to begin Clemson's fall camp, Jon Blau of The Charleston Post and Courier reports.
Impact
Haynes underwent knee surgery after the 2024 ACC Championship Game. More than half a year later, the knee continues to be a problem, although Blau's update stating that the running back will be restricted "a bit" indicates that he is making at least some strides. Fortunately for Haynes, there is still more than a month before Clemson's 2025 team begins its regular season with a Power Four clash against LSU on Aug. 30.

Out for spring camp
Haynes (knee) won't be available for Clemson's spring camp, Chapel Fowler of The Columbia State reports.
Impact
Haynes underwent knee surgery after the ACC title game, missing the Tigers' playoff loss to Texas. The tailback had flashed some intriguing talent prior to that injury, however. Haynes ran for 295 yards and three scores last fall on 6.9 yards-per-carry in limited action. He's in the mix to start in Death Valley in 2025, but the lingering knee ailment obviously hurts those prospects at the moment. He'll look to return fully healthy for fall camp.

Will miss rest of season
Haynes (leg) is out for the rest of the 2024 season after undergoing knee surgery Monday, head coach Dabo Sweeney told Will Vandervort of The Clemson Insider on Monday.
Impact
Haynes won't be able to suit up for the game against Texas on Saturday, meaning Keith Adams, Jarvis Green and David Eziomume will battle for touches in the backfield behind Phil Mafah. Haynes finished the 2024 season with 43 carries for 295 yards and three touchdowns across 11 games.

Not part of depth chart
Haynes (leg) is not part of the Tigers' depth chart for their game Saturday at Texas, Chapel Fowler of The Columbia State reports.
Impact
Ideally, Clemson's head coach Dabo Swinney gives a more exact update during his press conference Monday. However, the chart omission suggests Haynes will sit out Clemson's game Saturday, leaving the Tigers without their primary running back in the run game.

Suffers leg injury vs. SMU
Haynes suffered a leg injury in the third quarter of Saturday's win over SMU in the ACC Championship Game, Derrian Carter of Go Upstate reports.
Impact
Haynes returned the opening kickoff of the second half for 16 yards, but he was hit low on the return and his knee bent in on the hit. He tried to get up on his own but couldn't, and after a brief assessment in the medical tent, he was carted off the locker room and didn't return. He recorded 15 yards rushing on five carries and had one catch for three yards before exiting the contest. Further tests will be needed to confirm his availability for the Tigers' playoff run.

Back to full strength
Haynes (hamstring) is back to full strength for Clemson's fall camp, Jason Priestier of TheClemsonInsider reports.
Impact
Haynes missed much of the offseason and was unable to play in the Tigers' spring game. However, he's back to full strength and ready to contribute in his redshirt freshman season. In 2023, as a true freshman, he ran for just 35 yards on six carries, but did score a touchdown and flash some pass-catching ability as well with two receptions for 20 yards and a score. He'll compete largely with Keith Adams and Tristen Rigby for carries behind Phil Mafah.

Haynes (hamstring) is out for Clemson's spring game Saturday, Jon Blau of The Charleston Post and Courier reports.
Impact
Despite being hopeful for an imminent return back in mid-March, Haynes will sit out Clemson's upcoming spring game, pushing his return date further back. It will either be late-spring or the summer that is the earliest he can return from his hamstring injury.
