Impact Daniels will return to Lawrence for what figures to be his final season. The quarterback regressed in 2024 after his breakout 2023 season that was cut short due to injury. The quarterback tossed for 2,454 yards, 14 touchdowns and 12 interceptions while completing 57 percent of his passes. He added 447 yards and six touchdowns on the ground. He'll need to adjust to a new offensive coordinator, as Jeff Grimes will reportedly leave for Wisconsin.

Impact Daniels didn't have a pretty stat line, but it was enough for the Jayhawks to give BYU their first loss of the season. Both Daniels and RB Devin Neal were unstoppable. This Jayhawks team could be dangerous as they finish up the year against some of the Big 12's best teams. That starts next week when they head to BYU to take on the undefeated Cougars.
