Impact Lane pulled off the rare trick of scoring touchdowns on all three of his catches Saturday. The 6-foot-4 sophomore has been a physical mismatch for most corners and defensive backs this season, and this continued with three scores from within the 12-yard line. Two of these scores came during the fourth quarter, including quarterback Jayden Maiava's third and final touchdown with just 13 seconds remaining. Lane finishes the 2024 regular season with nine touchdowns on just 36 catches (on 63 targets) for 398 yards across 12 appearances. He'll look to keep making plays in the red zone during USC's upcoming bowl game, though it's currently unclear which postseason contest the Trojans will compete in.

Impact Lane didn't have much of a role in this offensive outburst for the Trojans. Quarterback Miller Moss logged 308 passing yards while logging a season-log 28 passing attempts, and wideouts Makai Lemon and Kyle Ford and running back Woody Marks combined for 19 of these targets. Lane has been one of Moss' top targets for most of the year with 47 targets across the first seven games. The sophomore wideout will look to play a bigger role during next week's road game at Washington.

Lane will continue to vie for targets in a receiving corps that is stacked with other talented sophomore pass-catchers. The Trojans will next play at Maryland in Week 8.

Impact Lane fell back down to earth after his career-best 10-catch peformance last week versus Wisconsin. Lane and Moss will look to get back on the same page when they return home for this coming Saturday's contest against a stingy Penn State defense.

Impact Lane became USC's first receiver to record a 100-yard game this season.
