Impact Strong didn't appear in a single game for Texas Tech in 2024 and was limited to just two appearances in 2023. The signal-caller should have more playing time with McNeese State.

Impact Despite entering the transfer portal a week ago, Strong will finish out the season with the Red Raiders. With Behren Morton (shoulder) out, Will Hammond will start and Strong will back him up. After that he will look for a new school where he has a better chance to start.

Impact After the 2023 season, it would not be a surprise if Strong wanted to redeem himself following his output problems during said campaign. But in 2024, he could not provide an output at all behind Behren Morton under center. So now, Strong is available in the transfer portal.

Impact Strong threw three interceptions in his second consecutive game. While Texas Tech was able to move the ball versus BYU, the offensive performance was killed by critical turnovers.
