Impact Coach Tim Lester told reporters after the game that Salopek earned QB1 honors for the spring game after having the best spring of any of the Western Michigan signal callers. Salopek will have to maintain his high level of performance in order to keep his hold on the starting job this summer, and the likes of Stone Hollenbach and Mareyohn Hrabowski will provide competition. Still, Salopek should be considered the favorite to win the job heading into the fall camp.
