Practicing this fall Eschenbach (shoulder) has participated during Wisconsin's full-team sessions in fall camp, Colten Bartholomew of The Wisconsin State Journal reports.

Impact Eschenbach missed time throughout the 2021 campaign due to injury, but he has returned to the practice field this fall after undergoing shoulder surgery in April. The 6-foot-6 tight end was consistently targeted by starting quarterback Graham Mertz during first-team 11-on-11 sessions Saturday, according to Bartholomew. Eschenbach and junior Clay Cundiff should combine to help make up for the loss of four-year starter Jake Ferguson -- Wisconsin's team leader in receptions over the past two seasons.
