GAME LOG

Stays quiet in Week 2 Brown posted 13 carries for 61 yards during Friday's 59-13 win against Villanova.
Impact Brown was bottled up once again for the Cardinals. Louisville didn't need its star tailback to author a dominant victory over an FCS team, but this is now two weeks in a row that Brown hasn't been all that productive on the ground. With 13 carries, Louisville is giving him the most opportunities in the backfield, he simply has yet to truly break out this fall.

Bottled up in Week 1 Brown logged 16 carries for 36 yards and hauled in all three targets for 32 yards during Sunday's 41-38 loss versus Mississippi.
Impact Ole Miss did a tremendous job shutting down the star tailback Brown. He hardly had any room to work with at all, averaging just 2.3 yards per carry. He did manage to catch three passes, but that didn't save his day from a fantasy perspective. Brown has a much more favorable matchup in Week 2 against FCS Villanova, and while he shouldn't take too many carries in what should be an easy blowout win for Louisville, he should get a chance to post a bounce-back stat-line.

Healthy and ready to play in Week 1 Brown is "healthy and ready to play" in Week 1 against Ole Miss on Sunday, Pete Nakos of On3.com reports.
Impact Brown logged his first full practice Aug. 14, meaning this will be the third week he doesn't have any limitations in practice. As such, he shouldn't have problems carrying his regular workload in the season opener against the Rebels. Brown will be the undisputed RB1 in the Cardinals' backfield and is coming off a 2025 season in which he racked up 101 carries for 884 yards and seven touchdowns, as well as 13 catches for 48 yards, in nine games.

Logs full practice Friday Brown (undisclosed) was "full go" in Friday's practice, marking the first time he's been a full participant this fall, according to Jody Demling of 247Sports.com.
Impact Brown was limited in practice Tuesday and more involved Thursday before being a full participant Friday. The star tailback seems ready for the season, and if he doesn't suffer any setbacks, he should be ready to roll for the season opener against Ole Miss on Sep. 6.

Expected to be full go next week Brown (undisclosed) had his most involved practice of camp Thursday but was still not a full-go. He's expected to ramp up to full participation next week, Jody Demling of On3.com r...
Impact Brown seems to be steadily ramping up his practice level as each day passes. Assuming he doesn't suffer any setbacks, he'll still have multiple weeks to get reps with the starting offense as he gears up for his third year in with the Cardinals.
AUGUST 13 • ROTOWIRE
Limited in practice Tuesday Brown (undisclosed) was a limited participant in Tuesday's practice, Jody Demling of 247Sports.com reports.
Impact Brown has been limited in practice over the last two days, but the fact that he's been out there and participated in portions of the drills is encouraging. The star tailback is showing signs of improvement on a day-by-day basis, so his probable status for Week 1 against Ole Miss on Sunday should be unchanged for the time being. But based on the latest reports, he's trending in the right direction.

Limited yet improving Brown (undisclosed) will be limited during Monday's practice but did showcase physical improvement before then, Matt McGavic of SI.com reports.
Impact Louisville's team will continue fall camp Monday, and the Brown inactivity remains expected for at least another day. But by participating in at least a few periods of camp practice last Saturday, it looks like the running back is showing some signs of improvement. Brown's probable status remains unchanged, but it is firm, suggesting he should be ready by Week 1.
AUGUST 10 • ROTOWIRE
Still inactive to begin fall camp Brown (undisclosed) wasn't an active participant in Louisville's Saturday practice as he continues to work with a trainer, Matt McGavic of SI.com reports.
Impact Brown's status remains uncertain as he deals with an undisclosed injury that is preventing him from practicing. However, it is early in fall camp, and the running back has time to recover before the Cardinals' Sept. 6 season opener against Ole Miss. Brown will once again be a key piece in Louisville's offense after rushing for 884 yards and seven touchdowns last season.
AUGUST 8 • ROTOWIRE
Working with trainers Thursday Brown (undisclosed) was off to the side with trainers during the first team period of Louisville's first day of fall camp Thursday, Matt McGavic reports.
Impact This is an early camp participation note rather than a formal injury designation, so Brown's status remains unclear pending an update from coach Jeff Brohm. Any missed practice time for Louisville's lead running back would be notable heading into the season.

JANUARY 5 • SI.COM
Will return to Louisville Brown will return to Louisville for his 2026 season, Connor Stanley of On3 reports.
Impact Barring setbacks, Louisville's team does not need to worry about finding a top running back for 2026. As part of the 2024 Cardinals, he logged 165 rushing attempts for 1,173 yards and 11 touchdowns. Despite his 2025 not being as productive, Brown proved that he is a reliable RB1. Across fewer games, he logged 101 carries for 884 yards and seven touchdowns. Brown recorded 8.8 yards per rushing attempt, an improvement to his 2024 season's 7.1 YPA.

Impact Brown will enter the portal following two seasons with Louisville. He will retain two years of eligibility at his next destination.
