Impact Even though Appalachian State's starting quarterback is Malachi Singleton, between Weeks 1 and 3, each of their Mountaineer games include Hasselbeck. The backup quarterback logged four completions (on five pass attempts) for 51 yards. Hasselbeck also recorded eight rushing attempts, indicating that he is more of a dual-threat QB.
