Caps off 2024 on high note Bachmeier completed 22 of 30 passes for 207 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 23-17 loss against Duke. He also had 13 rushes for eight yards.

Impact Bachmeier's season was tumultuous, to say the least. He has benched towards the end of the year, but returned for the final game and played valiantly in a narrow loss. The quarterback, who appears to be out of eligibility, tossed for 2,593 yards, 16 touchdowns and 10 interceptions while completing 62.7 percent of his passes. Given the Demon Deacons' inability to qualify for a bowl game, this should be it for Bachmeier in Winston-Salem.

He should have an easier time moving the ball through the air against a poor Stanford team Saturday afternoon.
