Impact Hart may have scored through the air, but it was his only catch, and it was for only five yards. Western Kentucky has ran the ball more this year with a new offensive coordinator, but the ball has been spread around.

Impact This is the most carries Hart has had in a game in two seasons with the Hilltoppers. They did get a new offensive coordinator this offseason, but there are still reasons to imagine even this large a role is anomalous.

Impact While the Hilltoppers have embraced running the ball more in 2024, that has been mostly handled by Elijah Young and a fairly-mobile quarterback in Caden Veltkamp. To that end, Hart, an Arizona State transfer, has 23 carries all season, which this being his largest workload.

Impact Hart, who has not played since Week 3, is available Saturday. Given he has only played two games this season, it is not out of the question for him to take a redshirt if he sits out two of the remaining four regular season games.

Impact Hart has appeared in just two games this season, totaling five carries for 14 yards, and he hasn't appeared for the Sun Devils since Week 3. It's still early in the week to fully determine his availability, but he seems to be trending in the right direction to, at least, be a game-time call Saturday.

Impact Hart was seen wearing a boot around his left foot when Arizona State hosted USC. But according to Furtado, he no longer had a boot on before the Sun Devils played at California and against Colorado. Hart was not dressed up for either. So should the running back be able to do so again, there is a good chance he becomes immediately available.
