Impact Wimsatt spent three years at Rutgers before transferring to Kentucky for his senior season. After failing to hold down a starting spot in the Bluegrass State, the gunslinger headed to Jacksonville State with one last shot at college football. Though he missed the Gamecocks' spring game with what's being described as a "tweaked" hamstring, he's still in line to be the QB1 this fall.

Impact Wimsatt will join the Gamecocks following a single season with Kentucky. The former Rutgers transfer appeared in eight games for the Wildcats in 2024, throwing for 287 yards and three touchdowns to four interceptions while adding 49 yards and a pair of scores on the ground as well. He will retain a single year of eligibility with Jacksonville State.
