Eric McAlister shows off ELITE speed in 84-yard TD to help TCU regain lead vs. Texas Tech

Four targets in win over Utah McAlister recorded two catches for 57 yards on four targets during Saturday's 13-7 victory over Utah.

Impact McAlister led the way for the TCU receivers in game that did not feature a lot of offense. QB Josh Hoover wasn't particularly accurate in this one and TCU leaned heavily on their defense to secure the win. McAlister should have more opportunities against Texas Tech next week.

Back-to-back 100-yard games McAlister compiled four receptions (on six targets) for 100 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 38-27 win against Kansas.

Impact McAlister reeled off his second straight 100-yard receiving game and also has a touchdown in three straight contests. TCU's high-tempo offense allows for many playmakers and McAlister is definitely one of those guys. He doesn't have the upside that Jack Bech has, but he's still worth considering with consistent targets each week. TCU will play Houston next week.

Impact McAlister, a Boise State transfer, recorded his first 100-yard receiving game with the Horned Frogs. He had three 100-yard receiving games with the Broncos in the 2023 season, so he's capable of stringing together big games. His biggest challenge is going to be Jack Bech and Savion Williams who are stud receivers ahead of him on the depth chart. TCU will play at Kansas next week.

Impact McAlister recorded his first touchdown with his new team. The Boise State transfer had nine touchdowns on the blue turf from the previous two season. So far with TCU, he has six grabs (on nine targets) for 108 yards and a touchdown. TCU will play at SMU next week.

Competing for third spot McAlister is competing for the third spot in TCU's primary wideout rotation, Steven Johnson of The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

Impact Savion Williams, JP Richardson and Dylan Wright were TCU's primary wideouts during 2023. Williams and Richardson's spots as starters reportedly seem cemented, meaning McAlister will have to compete with Wright for the remaining vacancy. The ex-Boise State receiver is making a case for why he should win out. Wright being limited during the fall has helped McAlister continue to make plays, whether they are with TCU's first or second team.
