Solidifying lead role in backfield Scott is expected to maintain the lead role in the NC State backfield heading into the 2026 season, per Tucker Sennett of SI.com.

Impact Scott has been looked at as the heir apparent for the Wolfpack running game throughout the offseason and has the confidence of the coaching staff. The 5-foot-10 redshirt sophomore ran for 581 yards and four touchdowns on 5.5 YPC to go along with 15 receptions for 132 scoreless yards through the air last season.

Impact Scott posted his second career game with 100+ rushing yards as the Wolfpack took down the Tigers in the Gasparilla Bowl. The 5-foot-10 redshirt freshman will finish his first season as a key piece of NC State's offense with 595 yards and four touchdowns on 106 carries (5.6 YPA). Scott was also a weapon in the receiving game, hauling in 15 receptions for 132 yards through the air. Scott and the Wolfpack will look to build off of a productive 2025-26 season this offseason.

Monster game as starting RB Scott had 24 rushes for 196 yards and one touchdown and gathered in all two targets for 11 yards during Saturday's 48-36 victory against Georgia Tech.

Impact Scott served as NC State's top rusher Saturday while Hollywood Smothers (undisclosed) was sidelined. Scott handled a workhorse role and didn't disappoint. He averaged 8.2 yards per carry and topped 200 yards from scrimmage. He delivered the crushing blow to Georgia Tech, scoring on a 30-yard run to give the Wolfpack an 18-point lead in the fourth quarter. While Scott isn't a threat to take the starting role from Smothers, he may have earned himself a couple more opportunities down the stretch of the regular season.
