Joining Florida Atlantic Devillier will transfer to Florida Atlantic, the school announced.

Impact Devillier spent his first two seasons at Rice, and played sparingly in both 2024 and 2025. This past fall, he tossed for 123 yards and one touchdown on 10-of-21 passing, while rushing for 25 yards on nine carries. Now, with three years of eligibility remaining, he'll take his talents to South Florida, where he'll look to win the starting quarterback gig.

Struggles in first start Devillier completed 14 of 30 passes for 88 yards during Saturday's 17-10 loss versus Connecticut. He also had six rushes for seven yards.

Impact Devillier made his first start of the season Saturday as he took over the offense from E.J. Warner. The true freshman did not make the impact that he would have liked as he completed fewer than 50 percent of his passes and did not even reach 100 passing yards. The entire offense struggled in the loss to UConn too, so it was not all on Devillier. It's not clear if Devillier will keep the job over Warner, especially since he did not light it up in his opportunity.
