Won't play in title game Upshaw (foot) won't play in Miami's clash with Indiana in the National Championship.

Impact Upshaw was expected to miss significant time for the Hurricanes as of late December, so it's unsurprising that the freshman wideout will sit out his fifth straight game. Upshaw started to get involved in the offense in the second half of the season for the Hurricanes, notching seven catches for 105 yards.

Dealing with significant injury Head coach Mario Cristobal said Monday that Upshaw is tending to a foot injury and will miss "significant" time, Adam Lichtenstein of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Impact Monday's update all but guarantees Upshaw won't be healthy in time for Miami's Quarterfinal matchup against Ohio State set for Dec. 31. The freshman pass catcher caught one pass in each of the Hurricanes' final four regular-season games, and he missed the team's CFP opener due to the injury.
