Impact Mensah had a solid outing Saturday, especially given he only attempted 13 passes. It was an efficient day for him, but the fact that the Green Wave ran the ball 47 times out of 60 offensive plays is a bad sign for Mensah. The Green Wave have larger aspirations than Mensah putting up big numbers, so he will likely not be the best option moving forward given how run-heavy the offense is.

Impact Mensah was unable to get going Saturday as he completed fewer than 50 percent of his passes and threw for under 175 yards for the fourth time in his last five games. He also ran for a season-low -11 yards. Although he did enough to earn his team yet another win, his lack of production during many of those wins has been concerning. Although he faces some favorable matchups coming up, it's hard to trust him to produce when the offense is so focused on running the ball with Makhi Hughes.

Impact Mensah had an efficient passing day Saturday, however his services weren't needed much as the game got out of hand quickly. Despite his team scoring 37 points in the first half, Mensah was not involved in any of the scoring. He opened up the second half with a touchdown pass to Yulkeith Brown and was taken out of the game shortly after. Although he is clearly talented and can put up big numbers when it's needed of him, he may not get always enough opportunities if the Green Wave continues blowing out conference foes by running the ball.

Impact Mensah was not asked to do much in Saturday's win and ended up with a very quiet outing. He failed to throw for 100 yards, although he did throw one touchdown and did not turn the ball over for the first time since Week 1. He was also hindered by the fact that backup quarterback Ty Thompson rushed seven times for 23 yards and a touchdown, taking an opportunity away from Mensah to score. Mensah is clearly not the focal point of this offense, and in games where the Green Wave take an early lead, he may struggle to produce.

While both Thompson and Horton got some playing time, after a strong debut it appears that Mensah will be the starting quarterback for the Green Wave.
