Williams announces for Baylor America's fastest recruiting class just got more juice.
Headed to Louisiana Tech Williams announced Tuesday via his personal Twitter account that he's transferring to Louisiana Tech.
Impact Williams totaled 111 touches for 633 yards and five scores during the 2022 campaign with Baylor, which was by far the biggest offensive workload he garnered in three years there. However, the 5-foot-9 running back opted to enter the portal as a graduate transfer and will have one year of eligibility to use at Louisiana Tech, where he figures to compete for a sizable role in the Bulldogs' backfield.

Impact Williams rushed 101 times for 557 yards and four scores while securing 10 of 11 targets for 76 yards and an additional score during the 2022 campaign. It was by far the biggest offensive workload he garnered in three years at Baylor, but the 5-foot-9 running back is still opting to test the transfer portal this offseason. As a grad transfer, he'll have one year of eligibility remaining to use at his next school.

Impact Williams had a decent game, but the true freshman Richard Reese was the story with 19 carries for 156 yards and three touchdowns. Both Williams and Reese received more play as Taye McWilliams was held out with a concussion. With McWilliams expected back soon, it will be interesting to see how the Baylor backfield shakes out. Baylor will play at Iowa State next week.

Limited to non-contact in spring Williams (knee) was limited to non-contact drills during spring practices, Travis Roeder of SB Nation reports.
Impact Williams had his 2020 campaign cut short due to a torn ACL and MCL. He is getting closer to full-strength and is expected to be a big asset for the Bears during the 2021 season if he can avoid any setbacks. Williams also missed the 2019 campaign due to a knee injury.
