Impact For 2025, Smith has made the move from a Group of 5 team to a Power Conference unit, and there is at least an adequate chance that he upgrades his statistical output. 2024 saw him log 12 receptions for 179 yards (14.9 averaged per reception) and two touchdowns.

Impact Smith caught his first career collegiate touchdown Saturday, a 38-yard reception from Kirk Francis at the end of the third quarter. He also added two more catches for 18 yards outside of the score. After not being targeted in the first two games, the true freshman now has five catches for 92 yards and a touchdown over the last two games, so his targets and production are worth monitoring over the next couple of games.
