Slated to return in spring ball Vaughn (undisclosed) will return to the Mean Green during their spring practice period, per NTDaily.com.

Impact Vaughn underwent surgery this offseason that held him out for the early portions of spring ball, but he is back in action for the North Texas offense. The tight end caught seven passes fro 59 yards last fall, numbers he'll look to build on in 2026.

Impact Vaughn will remain sidelined as the Mean Green face off against Army in Week 4. The 6-foot-4 junior has yet to make his debut with UNT after tallying seven receptions for 59 yards and three touchdowns with Tulsa last fall.

Impact During 2024, North Texas' best tight end was Oscar Hammond. But upon his portal entry and commitment to Oklahoma State, it made sense the Mean Green wanted at least one proven TE out portaling. He will look to expand his portfolio in 2025, which may be the case should UNT's team not go with an even split of two tight ends like Tulsa did during 2024.
