Impact Vaughn will remain sidelined as the Mean Green face off against Army in Week 4. The 6-foot-4 junior has yet to make his debut with UNT after tallying seven receptions for 59 yards and three touchdowns with Tulsa last fall.

Impact During 2024, North Texas' best tight end was Oscar Hammond. But upon his portal entry and commitment to Oklahoma State, it made sense the Mean Green wanted at least one proven TE out portaling. That year saw Vaughn log three touchdowns, one of them against North Texas in Week 5. He will look to expand his portfolio in 2025, which may be the case should UNT's team not go with an even split of two tight ends like Tulsa did during 2024.
