May see much usage to begin season Texas' head coach Steve Sarkisian said the team will be more aggressive in using Baxter for its 2025 season, Hank South of 247Sports.com reports. Impact Texas' spring camp saw a limited Baxter. So though the running back fully recovered by fall, UT's head coach believed he would take a long-term and patient approach in using his newly healthy RB. But after much of fall camp, that no longer appears to be the case. Baxter has seemingly shed previous concerns, so much so that he may build off his already strong 2025 season. He logged 138 carries for 659 yards (4.8 averaged per carry) and five touchdowns. Baxter also recorded 24 receptions for 156 yards.
