Impact Wells transferred to Massachusetts after the 2022 CFB season. The wide receiver's undergraduate senior season was not so great, as he logged a career low in receiving yards (169) and touchdowns (one). Wells has one more season of collegiate eligibility remaining for a second chance to transfer and maximize his opportunities.

Catches on with UMass Wells announced Dec. 19 via his personal Twitter account that he has committed to UMass, joining the program as a transfer from Appalachian State.

Impact Wells arrives in Amherst will two years of eligibility at his disposal and will be able to compete right away from a starting role within the Minutemen receiving corps. During his four seasons at Appalachian State, Wells put together a 37-654-10 receiving line on 69 targets.
