45 yards vs. Notre Dame Davis accrued 10 rushes for 45 yards during Saturday's 49-7 loss against Notre Dame.
Impact Davis was limited to 45 yards against the Irish. The true freshman dominated carries on the ground in the absence of Micah Ford and Sedrick Irvin. It's hard to have a productive day on the ground when your team loses by six touchdowns, but Davis has proven to be serviceable. When Ford and Irvin return, his snaps will likely be limited, but Davis has shown something here as a true freshman.

So-so day vs. Hokies Davis logged eight carries for 47 yards during Saturday's 31-7 loss against Virginia Tech.
Impact Davis' 47 yards were his second-lowest total on the young season. The true freshman, like the rest of Stanford's passing attack, struggled to get going in a blowout loss. Still, the tailback averages 6.5 carries each game and while he may not be lighting up the stat-sheet, he's proven to be a key piece of this backfield. His eight carries were the second-highest on the team against Virginia Tech.

Impact Davis ran for 53 yards last week, and followed it up with another solid performance in a win over Syracuse. The true freshman appears to have made a good impression on the coaching staff, as it's telling that he was involved in a close game this time instead of a blowout over Cal Poly. Look for the tailback to potentially become a rotational staple of this backfield.

Impact Davis Jr. managed to see the field for the first time as a true freshman during Stanford's demolition of Cal Poly. He remains buried on the depth chart, and likely won't see many snaps at all in a competitive game. Still, it was good experience to get the freshman involved, and he ran well to the tune of 8.8 yards-per-carry.
