Top backup on opening depth chart Bowens is listed as the top backup on the depth chart ahead of Saturday's season opener against Marshall, Radi Nabulsi of UGASports.com reports.

Impact Bowens was reportedly making a good impression during fall camp, and it may have translated to a regular role in the rotation this fall. That said, the opening depth chart is far from a guarantee that the carries will be doled out accordingly, but it's at least a good sign that Bowens may be in the mix after totaling just 16 carries for 58 yards last season.

Questionable Saturday Bowens (foot) is listed as questionable on Georgia's official team injury report ahead of Saturday's SEC Championship against Texas.

Impact Bowens will carry a questionable designation into Saturday's game after missing last week's matchup against Georgia Tech with a foot injury. The freshman running back was seen wearing a boot on his left foot prior to the rivalry matchup and was subsequently held out of the game, marking his eighth missed contest of the season. Bowens will hope to make himself available against Texas, and with fellow running backs Trevor Etienne and Branson Robinson also questionable, he could see a decent role within the Georgia offense if available.

Spotted with boot Bowens has been spotted with a boot on his left foot ahead of Georgia's clash with Georgia Tech, Anthony Dasher of Rivals.com reports.

Impact Bowens presumably won't play against the Yellow Jackets. The tailback didn't figure to be a big factor in this ground game anyway, but when he has played, he's been good for a handful of carries each contest. Georgia appears set to rely on Nate Frazier to spearhead its backfield Friday night.
