Labas and Townsend lead Central Michigan over Kent State 28-16

Joe Labas throws two touchdown passes, and Brock Townsend runs for two scores as Central Michigan beats Kent State 28-16 on Wednesday night
NOVEMBER 20, 2025 • Associated Press
DeCorion Temple - Logs best game of season in win Temple tallied three catches for 34 yards and a touchdown during Wednesday's 28-16 win versus Kent State.
Impact Temple tied his season-high of three catches in the win over the Flashes, but he saw a season-high of 34 yards and found the end zone for the second time. While the starting tight end has been utilized more as a blocker for most of this campaign, he's still showcased talent in the passing game. He'll seek to finish out his redshirt junior season strong next Saturday against Toledo, whether that be as an involved member of the Chippewas' passing attack or not.
NOVEMBER 19, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Brock Townsend - Finds end zone twice in win Townsend had six carries for 27 yards and two touchdowns during Wednesday's 28-16 win versus Kent State.
Impact Townsend wasn't utilized heavily once again for the Chippewas, but he did see an influx of goal-line carries. The starting running back's increased number of touches within the 20-yard line granted him his second multi-touchdown performance of the year. While he's seen volatile usage at this point in the year, he'll look to finish out his redshirt freshman season strong next Saturday against Toledo.
NOVEMBER 19, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Marcus Beamon - Records season-high in rush yards Beamon was 1-for-2 passing for two yards during Wednesday's 28-16 victory over Kent State. He also had nine rushes for 42 yards.
Impact Beamon was utilized as a change-of-pace option for the Chippewas once again, and he ended up finishing with his highest rush-yard total of the season. The junior quarterback has now logged 29 rushing attempts for 90 yards and a touchdown across three games this season. He should continue to have a role next Saturday against Toledo.
NOVEMBER 19, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Joe Labas - Dishes two touchdowns in win Labas was 11-for-20 passing for 121 yards, two touchdowns and one interception during Wednesday's 28-16 win versus Kent State. He also recorded three rushes for 11 yards.
Impact Labas logged a four-game low in passing yards during the eventual win, but he did find the end zone twice. The starting quarterback threw multiple touchdowns for the fourth time this season, and he saw some success on the ground. The 6-foot-4 play caller has now led the Chippewas to a 5-2 record, and a win next week against Toledo could get them to the MAC Championship if their cards fall correctly.
NOVEMBER 19, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Angel Flores - Out Wednesday Flores (undisclosed) will not play in Wednesday's game against Kent.
Impact Flores will miss another game as he continues working his way back from injury. His next chance to suit up will be against Toledo on Nov. 29.

Langston Lewis - Tops best performance in blowout Lewis reeled in 6 of 8 targets for 118 yards and one touchdown during Wednesday's 38-19 victory versus Buffalo.
Impact Lewis recorded a season-high 111 receiving yards against Western Michigan in the Chippewas' last game, and he managed to top it with 118 yards versus the Bulls. After an extremely slow start to the season, the starting wideout has now posted a 10-229-2 line in his last two showings. The redshirt junior will look to continue his tear in CMU's final two-game stretch starting next Wednesday at Kent State.
NOVEMBER 13, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Tommy McIntosh - Records best game of year in win McIntosh caught all five targets for 85 yards and one touchdown during Wednesday's 38-19 victory versus Buffalo.
Impact McIntosh has struggled to get targets throughout much of this season, especially in the Chippewas' recent stretch. The starting wide receiver finally got things going against the Bulls, commanding five targets and recording season-highs in catches and yardage. He also scored his second touchdown of the season. McIntosh will look to finish out his junior season strong at Kent State next Wednesday and back home versus Toledo on Nov. 29.
NOVEMBER 13, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Marcus Beamon - Serves rushing role again Beamon had 11 rushes for 29 yards with one touchdown during Wednesday's 38-19 win over Buffalo.
Impact Beamon was utilized as a rush threat for the second straight week, and he punched in his first career rushing touchdown. The junior quarterback's usage is likely to continue given his success, as he's now rushed 20 times for 48 yards and a touchdown in the Chippewas' last two showings.

The 6-foot-4 quarterback has now logged three games this season with multiple passing touchdowns, and he's thrown for 1,313 yards on the year. He'll look to finish out the final two games of the campaign strong with a 4-2 record in the MAC currently.

Angel Flores - Not playing in Week 11 Flores (undisclosed) is out for Wednesday's game against Buffalo.
Impact Flores didn't play in Week 10 and will sit out once again in this matchup. This means his next chance to play will come against Kent, but even if that's the case, it'll only be as a backup. Ethan Lane should be the backup against Buffalo on Wednesday.

Central Michigan vs. Buffalo Prediction, Odds, Picks - November 12, 2025
Langston Lewis - Season-best performance in loss Lewis caught all four targets for 111 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 24-21 defeat against Western Michigan.
Impact Lewis was a deep-threat machine against the Broncos, reeling in all four looks for a whopping 111 yards and a score. The top look in a run-heavy offense had just one game prior to the loss with more than 50 yards, so his breakout game could be an anomaly. He'll still look to stay involved against Buffalo after the Chips' bye week.
NOVEMBER 2, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Tyson Davis - Finds end zone in close loss Davis caught all two targets for 45 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 24-21 defeat to Western Michigan.
Impact Davis has seen an incredibly volatile role so far this season, with the Chippewas focusing more on a rushing attack. The starting wide receiver logged one of his best performances of the year, even in a loss, as he found the end zone and caught both of his targets. He'll look to stay involved after CMU's bye week against Buffalo.
NOVEMBER 2, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Marcus Beamon - Utilized in eventual loss Beamon completed 1 of 1 passes for 33 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 24-21 defeat to Western Michigan. He also had nine rushes for 19 yards.
Impact Beamon saw a role with the Chippewas for the first time this season, and he did well with a 33-yard passing touchdown and 19 rushing yards. The junior quarterback's involvement could've been primarily used to confuse the Broncos' defense, but he showcased that he has value with CMU's offense. It's unknown if he'll be utilized against Buffalo on Nov. 12.
NOVEMBER 2, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Joe Labas - Serviceable in loss Labas completed 8 of 11 passes for 152 yards, one touchdown and one interception during Saturday's 24-21 defeat versus Western Michigan. He also had seven rushes for zero yards.
Impact Labas logged a five-game high in passing yards in the eventual loss to the Broncos, but he still threw a game-losing interception in the fourth quarter. The 6-foot-4 quarterback hasn't been used much as a passer so far this season, with less than 15 passing attempts in all but two games. He'll have another relatively tough matchup against Buffalo next Wednesday.
NOVEMBER 2, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Trey Cornist - Quiet outing in loss Cornist (undisclosed) carried the ball one time for one yard in Saturday's loss to Western Michigan.
Impact Cornist managed to play after having been listed as questionable with an undisclosed injury. Across nine games played this season, Cornist has carried the ball 68 times for 298 yards and one touchdown.
