Unlikely to start despite strong spring Pettaway is unlikely to be the Cyclones' starting halfback this fall, losing out to Aiden Flora, per Bill Seals of Cyclone Report.

Impact Pettaway is coming off what was reportedly a strong spring camp, one in which he looked like a starter. Still, returnee Aiden Flora looks to have the upper hand in the halfback room and is reportedly expected to be the Cyclones RB1 this fall. Pettaway should still see plenty of touches behind him, but the Bowling Green transfer may not have the starting role he envisioned upon transferring to Iowa State.
