Caleb Komolafe News, Rumors, Updates - Northwestern Wildcats | FOX Sports

Quiet in blowout win Komolafe posted 11 rushes for 49 yards and gathered in all three targets for 27 yards during Saturday's 41-7 win over Colorado.

Impact On a day in which the Wildcats got off to an early lead and never looked back, Komolafe saw limited opportunities, likely due to gamescript and the prospect of keeping him fresh moving forward. More concerning than his touch total is the production of fellow back Joseph Himon, who caught a trio of touchdown passes as a pass catcher out of the backfield. While Komolafe will likely continue to lead the way for the Northwestern rushing attack, Himon could see extended work as a pass catcher, possibly cutting into Komolafe's snapshare. A road matchup against Indiana awaits on Friday.

SEPTEMBER 22 • ROTOWIRE

Scores in opener Komolafe tallied 10 carries for 46 yards and one touchdown and reeled in both targets for 37 yards during Saturday's 34-18 win over South Dakota State.

Impact Komolafe led the way for the Wildcats in rushing attempts on the day, outpacing fellow back Gavin Sawchuk 10-8 on the day. Despite solid efficiency (4.6 YPC), Sawchuk put together a more efficient day, averaging an impressive 8.6 YPC while fellow running back Joseph Himon ripped off an 80-yard touchdown run late in the game to lead the team in yards. Komolafe did manage to find paydirt as well, crossing the goalline on a seven-yard scamper in the third quarter. He will hope for better days ahead, starting with a home matchup against Colorado in two weeks.
