Eight catches in loss Ford-Wheaton hauled in eight catches for 93 yards on 13 targets in Saturday's 38-20 loss at Texas.

Impact Ford-Wheaton was able to record his third game with double-digit targets in the 2022 season. After opening the season with a pair of scores in the first two games, he has yet to return to the end-zone. With an average of 12 targets per game, it's only a matter of time before he gets his next touchdown. Fantasy managers will have to be patient as West Virginia is on a bye next week before hosting Baylor on Oct. 13.

The Mountaineers have leaned on their running game the last two weeks. Nonetheless, Ford-Wheaton remains an attractive fantasy option at Texas next week as he's JT Daniels' favorite target.

Impact Ford-Wheaton remains West Virginia's top target, however, the Mountaineers were not in need of a dominant receiver as they racked up 624 yards of offense in easy fashion against Towson. West Virginia was in cruise control and played all four of their quarterbacks in the blowout win. Ford-Wheaton will return to his higher volume of catches and targets when the team plays at Virginia Tech on Thursday night.
