Impact Maurer hasn't been at practice since Aug. 11 and now things are becoming more clear. Maurer played in four games last season, but it's looking like he wanted to go in a different direction for his football future. He will have plenty of time to decide on his next school for 2022.

Impact Maurer appeared in just four games for the Volunteers during the 2020 campaign, and he recently dropped to fourth on the depth chart as the team progresses through fall camp. It's not yet clear whether the quarterback is dealing with an injury or whether he'll attempt to transfer ahead of the regular season.
