Impact Sullivan has been ruled out for Iowa's season finale against Nebraska, but the team is hopeful that he will be available for their bowl game. The 6-foot-4 junior will continue to ramp up his practice workload in the coming weeks.

Out for remainder of regular season Sullivan (ankle) is out for the remainder of Iowa's 2024 regular season, David Eickholt of 247Sports.com reports.

Impact Sullivan will sit out Iowa's games Nov. 23 and Nov. 29 because of an ankle sprain. He is hoping the Hawkeyes can clinch a bowl game without him. In the 2024 regular season, Sullivan made 24 completions for 343 yards and two touchdowns while adding 35 carries for 145 yards and four TDs on the ground.

Dealing with ankle sprain Sullivan exited Friday's game with what has been deemed an ankle sprain, John Steppe of The Cedar Rapids Gazette reports.

Impact With Cade McNamara (undisclosed) already out for the contest and Marco Lainez (undisclosed) seemingly unavailable, sophomore Jackson Stratton was called upon to head the offense for the Hawkeyes in a losing effort. Sullivan finished the night just 6-for-9 passing for 157 yards and a pair of interceptions, also rushing nine times for 10 yards. Fortunately, the quarterback room has a bye week on tap to heal up before the Week 13 contest against Maryland.

Efficient in first start Sullivan was 7-for-10 passing for 93 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 42-10 victory versus Wisconsin. He also had nine rushes for 58 yards with one touchdown.

Impact Sullivan was named the starter for the Hawkeyes in the days heading up to Saturday's rivalry clash, and the junior quarterback made the most of his opportunity. Sullivan was efficient on the day, completing 70 percent of his passes and accounting for 171 total yards and two total touchdowns while leading the Hawkeyes to a dominant victory over Wisconsin. The 6-foot-4 transfer from Northwestern threw for 714 yards, six touchdowns and two interceptions in seven games for the Wildcats in 2023, adding 160 yards and two scores on the ground as well.

Impact Sullivan put together the best all-around performance of his career, with highs in both passing and rushing yards. The junior signal-caller was called upon to start for the third week in a row in place of injured starter Ben Bryant (upper body). Sullivan cooled off after going 12-for-14 passing for 159 yards and two touchdowns in the first half, but he still showed strong control of the offense throughout the course of the game. This solid showing is an encouraging sign for Sullivan, especially after he had a subpar outing versus Nebraska in Week 8.
