Transfers to Southern Miss Hood will transfer to Southern Miss, per 247Sports.

Impact Hood posted 368 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 3.2 yards per carry in 2025 at UMass, also reeling in 11 catches for 88 yards. With what should be three years of Eligibility remaining, he'll transfer to the Golden Eagles, where he should have a shot to get involved in the ground game immediately.

Impact It looks like Hood will transfer to his third college in three years. During 2024, the running back began his career with Colorado. For 2025, Hood transferred to Massachusetts for the Minutemen's first MAC season.
