Impact Baker had been in the quarterback competition with Jack Turner and Evan Bullock and seemed to be gaining the edge for the starting job. With the injury, the redshirt freshman quarterback is expected to miss some time and will hope for a speedy recovery with the expectation to be back for the road game against New Mexico State on Oct. 29.

Impact Three quarterbacks played for the Bulldogs. Jack Turner seems unlikely to remain the top guy, but both Baker and Evan Bullock provided touchdowns in the fourth quarter to stage a comeback that fell short in overtime. When Turner got hurt in the opener, Baker got the call, so he may have the inside track.
