Hitting portal Carlisle is entering the transfer portal and will transfer to Louisiana Monroe when the portal window opens Friday, Joseph Duarte of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Impact Carlisle appeared in five games for the Cougars as a true freshman but did not attempt a pass. He'll waste no time choosing his next destination, giving himself ample time to get acclimated and compete for a starting role next fall.

Debuts in Saturday's win Carlisle was 0-for-0 passing for zero yards during Saturday's 39-17 victory against Oklahoma State. He also had three rushes for 25 yards.

Impact Carlisle made his collegiate debut Saturday as he came into the end of the game with the win already secured. He did not attempt a pass but he ran three times for 25 yards. He's unlikely to play again this season barring an injury crisis.
