Impact Lewis is healthy again after having dealt with an undisclosed injury but still had just a minimal role during Saturday's win. He will look to improve upon his performance next week versus Florida International.

Plays limited snaps against Liberty Lewis (undisclosed) played just two snaps during Jacksonville State's 31-21 victory over Liberty on Wednesday.

Impact Lewis failed to record a counting stat in his limited snaps, but seeing him take the field at all is a step in the right direction after missing last week's game against Middle Tennessee State with an undisclosed injury. The senior running back has run for 127 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 35 carries through six games for the Gamecocks this season, adding two receptions for 49 yards through the air as well. With such a limited snap count against the Flames, it's hard to imagine Lewis is at 100 percent at the moment and he can therefore be looked at as questionable for next Saturday's matchup against Louisiana Tech for the timebeing, though the long week off between games should allow him the opportunity to rest and recover.

Impact Lewis was previously considered to be questionable for Wednesday's game with an undisclosed injury, but the senior running back was clearly unable to go against the Blue Raiders. With the exception of the team's victory over Southern Mississippi earlier in the season in which he accounted for over 100 total yards and a pair of touchdowns, Lewis has struggled to get involved in the offensive gameplan, running for 62 scoreless yards on 22 attempts in the team's other five games this season. He will hope to hasten his recovery to make himself available for next week's road battle against Liberty.

Impact Coach Rich Rodriguez states he was "not sure" if Lewis would be able to play in this matchup and appears to be dealing with some type of injury. Should he be out, he will have a chance to get back against Liberty during next week's meeting.

Impact Lewis ran for 818 yards and eight touchdowns in JSU's last season as an FCS team. Last year he only played in nine games, but he did averaged 4.9 yards per carry and did score three touchdowns. Lewis got off to a slow start to this season, so this is an encouraging game.

Impact It was going to be interesting to see what happened in this game, as Malik Jackson and Ron Wiggins both returned from injury. Lewis still had the most touches of the three, but all three had at least nine touchdowns. Throw in Zion Webb being the top running threat, even though he's the quarterback, and this situation looks murky.
