Antonio Martin News, Rumors, Updates - Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders

Rushes for 40 yards Martin ran eight times for 40 yards but lost a fumble against Kansas on Saturday.

Impact It is worth noting that Martin had a 34-yard run in this game, so otherwise he was wholly kept in check. Of course, that was true of the entire MTSU offense in a 55-0 loss, and Martin had three 100-yard games prior to this so he should be fine.

Over 100 yards again Martin ran 17 times for 106 yards against Jacksonville State on Saturday.

Impact Martin eats up yardage even if he hasn't been a game breaker. He only has one touchdown, but he's been over 100 yards three times and he has yet to lose a fumble.

Antonio Martin Jr. ran for 104 yards and a touchdown, Roman Gagliano threw for 173 yards and two scores, and Middle Tennessee took down Nevada 27-20 on Saturday

Over 100 yards again Martin ran 23 times for 104 yards and a score Saturday against Nevada.

Impact A Kansas State transfer, Martin has gotten over 100 yards twice in three games. Now, he was also held to 32 yards by Marshall, so let's not get too excited, though two games over 100 yards is encouraging.

SEPTEMBER 19 • ROTOWIRE

Held to 32 yards Martin ran nine times for 32 yards versus Marshall on Saturday.

Impact In his MTSU debut, the Kansas State transfer Martin got over 100 yards. This, obviously, was a major drop off, and now it feels particularly relevant that Martin's 100 yards came against Murray State.

SEPTEMBER 12 • ROTOWIRE

Rushes for 100 yards in MTSU debut Martin ran 15 times for 103 yards and caught two passes for 10 yards against Murray State on Saturday.

Impact It's only one game, but this could be a case of finding the right level. Martin was a start at the FCS level in 2024, but a move to Kansas State didn't work out. Often, the path for a player at that point is to go to a smaller FBS school in a non-power conference, and Martin had almost as many total yards in this game as he had at Kansas State in total.

SEPTEMBER 6 • ROTOWIRE

Signs with Middle Tennessee State Martin has signed with Middle Tennessee State, according to the team's announcement Wednesday.

Impact Martin will transfer from Kansas State. Ideally for the running back, changing colleges from a Power Four to a Group of Six will help him improve his relatively decent 2025 output. Martin logged 19 rushing attempts for 129 yards (6.8 averaged per carry) and one touchdown.

Set to transfer Martin plans to enter the transfer portal, 247Sports reports.

Impact Martin will look for his third program in as many years. The tailback had a disappointing 2025 season with Kansas State after breaking out with 1,228 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns in 2024 with Southeastern Louisiana. He appeared in five games for the Wildcats, rushing 19 times for 129 yards and one touchdown.

DECEMBER 30, 2025 • ROTOWIRE

Adds first TD with Wildcats Martin tallied five rushes for 89 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 51-47 defeat versus Utah.

Impact Martin, a transfer from SE Louisiana, scored his first touchdown with the Wildcats. Kansas State dominated on the ground versus the Utes. Teammate Joe Jackson broke the single-game rushing record for the Wildcats with 24 carries for 293 yards and three touchdowns. With Kansas State sputtering down the stretch in the win column, it's possible they could see what they have with Martin in their final regular season game against Colorado. Martin has played sparingly this year with 15 carries for 120 yards and a touchdown.

Impact Martin will make the switch to the Wildcats after re-entering the transfer portal in late April, following a commitment to Louisiana-Monroe. The 5-foot-11 running back played with FCS Southeast Louisiana in 2024, logging 1,228 rushing yards and 11 touchdown on 5.3 yards-per-carry.

Back in portal Martin will enter the transfer portal once again, per Pete Nakos of On3.com.

Impact The tailback transferred to Louisiana-Monroe in the winter portal window, but has elected to look for a new program again. In 2024 with FCS Southeast Louisiana, Martin ran for 1,228 yards and 11 scores on 5.3 yards-per-carry. Whatever the reason, be it depth chart-related or otherwise, the Warhawks weren't the right fit for Martin.
