Back-to-back big days Burnette ran the ball 16 times for 132 yards and two touchdowns Saturday against Missouri State.

Impact The Bulldogs had to move Trey Kukuk into the starting quarterback role two games ago, but what's interesting is that suddenly Burnette became the lead running back beside him. However, it worked! In his last two games Burnette has rushed for 225 yards and five touchdowns, and now the Bulldogs get to go bowling.

Rushes for three TDs Burnette ran 17 times for 93 yards and three touchdowns versus Liberty on Saturday. He also threw an interception on a trick play.

Impact Third-string quarterback Trey Kukuk was pressed into starting, and he's a run-first player. That led to the offense being reconfigured for this game, including Burnette getting comfortably his most carries of the season. He did well with them, so maybe we will see more of the same next week.
