Done for the day Horvath returned to the sideline in a walking boot and was wearing street clothes, Mike Carmin of Lafayette Journal & Courier reports.
Impact Horvath exited back to the locker room in the first quarter of Saturday's game against UConn. The fifth-year back later was seen wearing a walking boot and was no longer in uniform. Horvath was constantly involved last week with 25 touches for 92 total yards and a touchdown and will be a huge missing piece in the offense if he's forced to miss additional time.

Early exit Saturday Horvath went to the locker room during the first quarter of Saturday's game against UConn, Tom Dienhart of GoldandBlack.com reports.
Impact Horvath required assistance to leave the field and has gone straight to the locker room. That's not a great sign and will result in King Doerue taking over in the Boilermakers' backfield. Doerue should serve as the primary back until Horvath is cleared to return.

25 touches in opener Horvath rushed 21 times for 81 yards and a touchdown and hauled in four of his five targets for another 11 yards Saturday versus Oregon State.
Impact Horvath continues to inflate his value in PPR formats with consistent contributions in the passing game. He averaged five catches per contest last season and starts off 2021 with another four, suggesting he's on a similar path for involvement in that facet as well. He did finish out 2020 with just two touchdowns over six games, so he may not be nearly as valuable in leagues that don't award points for receptions.
