Headed to Evanston Honig will transfer to Northwestern, per On3.com.

Impact Honig is coming off a career year with UConn in which he reeled in 13 catches for 162 yards and three scores. He doesn't have a whole lot of production to his name across his career, but he'll take his one remaining season of eligibility to the Wildcats and look to become a staple of the Northwestern tight end room.

Impact Honig will hit the transfer portal as a grad transfer after accumulating 13 receptions for 162 yards and three touchdowns this season. He took his only carry for 26 yards.

Hits paydirt Honig scored his first touchdown in more than two months in UConn's 48-45 win over Florida Atlantic.

Impact Honig collected 44 receiving yards on two catches including the 32 yard touchdown reception. The senior will look to add another touchdown to his resume in the upcoming college bowl game.

Projected as starter Honig is listed as a starter for the Huskies' upcoming game Saturday against Central Connecticut State, Joe Arruda of the Hartford Courant reports.

Impact Surprisingly, the Huskies list Honig over Louis Hansen, whose 2024 UConn stats include 24 receptions for 236 yards and four touchdowns. Honig is no slouch though, with 59 receiving yards from six receptions, half of them being touchdown catches.

Healthy for fall camp Honig (kneecap) is healthy for the Huskies' fall camp, Carl Adamec of CTInsider reports.

Impact Honig was limited during the spring while still rehabbing his dislocated kneecap. Now, however, he's reportedly at full go and ready to contribute to UConn's tight end room this fall. He figures to be a backup to Louis Hansen and Nick Harris, but he should get his best chance to contribute in 2024.

Out for the season Honig (kneecap) will miss the remainder of the season, Adam Betz of the Hartford Courier reports.

Impact Honig dislocated his kneecap in Week 2 versus Georgia State and has not played since. This week, head coach Jim Mora announced the Honig would miss the remainder of the season as he recovers from the injury, adding that he is improving every day. The German-born redshirt sophomore will be able to return next season with two years of eligibility remaining.
