Rushes for TD in opener Lamar had 18 carries for 67 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 40-21 win over Central Arkansas. He added two catches for three yards.

Impact Lamar was the Red Wolves' feature back on the day as no other Arkansas State player had more than seven carries. While he did average just 3.7 yards per carry, he snapped off a 33-yard scamper and scored the team's sole rushing score. With solid performances from backfield mates Marcel Murray and Johnnie Lang, the competition for carries in Jonesboro is an interesting one.
