Competing to be QB1 Noland is competing against Marcus Stokes to be Memphis' starting quarterback, according to Jonah Dylan of The Commercial Appeal via the G5 Hive podcast.

Impact After the 2025 FBS season, Noland transferred from South Carolina to Memphis, presumably to log a better chance for opportunities in the highest division of college football, albeit for a less well-known program. Compared to Stokes, a Division II veteran, Noland has at least a little experience with the best competition, having logged two completed passes and a rushing attempt against fellow FBS side Coastal Carolina.
