Impact Akron's 2024 season ending early allows Norton to consider more appealing suitors before his 2025 season. There are expected to be at least quite a few of them, especially after the sophomore went from a wideout with some promise to an excellent option capable of carrying a team.

Comes up with nothing vs. Toledo Norton caught 0 of 2 targets for zero yards during Tuesday's 21-14 overtime win over Toledo.

Impact Norton's zero catches come as a big surprise, as he has brought in at least two catches in every game of the season since Week 1 versus Ohio State. The sophomore wide receiver did still finish out the year as the WR1, amassing 43 grabs for 832 yards and seven touchdowns. He should continue to be a huge part of the Zips' passing game next year for his junior season.

NOVEMBER 28 • ROTOWIRE

107 receiving yards. Kent State Norton caught 5 of 7 targets for 107 yards during Tuesday's 38-17 win versus Kent State.

Impact Norton kept up his recent tear with his third 100-yard receiving game of the season. The sophomore wide receiver now has 13 grabs for 262 yards and three touchdowns in the last three games, and he's been the clear WR1 for the Zips at this point in the year.

NOVEMBER 20 • ROTOWIRE

Snags touchdown in loss Norton gathered in 2 of 12 targets for 57 yards and one touchdown during Wednesday's 29-16 defeat versus Northern Illinois.

Impact Norton grabbed two one of his 12 targets, but he still did end the outing with a solid 57 yards and a touchdown. The sophomore wide receiver now has 10 catches for 184 yards and four touchdowns in the last three games for the Zips, keeping him at a favorable spot as the season winds down.

NOVEMBER 14 • ROTOWIRE

Two touchdowns vs. Buffalo Norton totaled six receptions (on 11 targets) for 98 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's 41-30 loss against Buffalo.

Impact Norton put together a huge performance, and he also logged his first touchdown game of the season. The sophomore pass catcher's two touchdowns came in Akron's 23-point fourth quarter, and the wide receiver is primed for continued volume as the Zips finishes out conference play this season.

NOVEMBER 3 • ROTOWIRE

Scores touchdown versus Eagles Norton caught 2 of 4 targets for 29 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 25-21 victory versus Eastern Michigan.

Impact Norton wasn't largely involved in the Zips' passing game in the team's close win, but he did find the end zone which boosted his ending output. The sophomore wide receiver is coming off a big eight reception, 168-yard performance against Western Michigan, which may balance his output to something in between this week and last week in the coming games for Akron.

OCTOBER 28 • ROTOWIRE

Season-high yardage in loss Norton notched eight catches for 168 yards during Saturday's 34-24 defeat against Western Michigan.

Impact Norton posted his highest yardage matchup of the season, along with eight receptions which was his highest number in that category as well. The sophomore wide receiver has full control over Akron's air attack, and he's showed he can be efficient even without a lot of touchdowns.

OCTOBER 13 • ROTOWIRE

Second most season yards in loss Norton tallied three receptions (on seven targets) for 78 yards during Saturday's 27-20 loss to Bowling Green.

Impact Norton had a lower three catches against Bowling Green, but his big play abilities got him his second-most yards on the year. The sophomore wide receiver hasn't had huge output as the WR1 for Akron so far this year, but touchdowns on top of his already solid yardage could mean big things in the coming weeks.

OCTOBER 6 • ROTOWIRE

Decent grabs in loss Norton reeled in 5 of 8 targets for 59 yards during Saturday's 30-10 loss against Ohio.

Impact Norton broke his three-game touchdown streak against the Bobcats, and he didn't do a whole lot throughout the matchup. Akron struggled to get any consistent offense going against Ohio, and Norton was only alright because of it. He'll look to improve, alongside the team, next week against Bowling Green.

SEPTEMBER 30 • ROTOWIRE

Snags sole touchdown Norton reeled in 4 of 9 targets for 56 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 50-7 loss against South Carolina.

Impact Norton 42-yard receiving touchdown in the second quarter was one of the only bright spots in Akron's blowout loss. The number one receiver now has a touchdown in the last three games for the Zips and is the best pass catcher for the team thus far.

SEPTEMBER 22 • ROTOWIRE

Finally surpasses 100 yards Norton had five catches for 125 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 31-20 win against Colgate.

Impact Norton was very efficient against Colgate, and he finally played like the WR1 that he's been listed as especially accruing more than 100 yards and a score in the second quarter. If Akron continues to rely on the passing game especially in the coming conference games, Norton should benefit even if he doesn't find the end zone.
