Impact Lowery was recently held out of the team's last two games without injury, indicating something was going on behind the scenes. The 6-foot-5 junior will no longer be part of the Marquette program after spending two full seasons with the Golden Eagles. He had appeared in 11 contests this season while averaging 8.1 points and 2.9 rebounds per game.

Impact Lowery made the first start of his collegiate career Monday and he backed that up with a solid performance. He was one of just two Golden Eagles with double-digit points and he added three offensive rebounds, two assists and two steals in the blowout win. It appears Lowery will have a much bigger role on the team this season after coming off the bench during the last two campaigns, and early signs suggest he's ready for that opportunity.
